Chris Dausch from Washington has commissioned this exciting new work. The graphics are to be done in verigated gold leaf, the base in a candy green, and the dragons in golds and cream colors. Rod is also completing a 2' x 3' panel in the same theme to accompany the bike. Keep watching for updates as this work progresses.
Prepped, Filled, and Primed:
Based and Cleared:
Parts are Masked and Design is Sketched onto the Parts:
Rod hand sands the parts to prep them for receiving the artwork then carefully masks off the surface of the parts. He then sketches the design onto the masks allowing him to ensure the proper layout and flow. The work not only allows us a chance to show our clients a glimpse of how the design will look, but helps Rod keep various aspects in proportion.
Slowly the Paint Process Begins:
The design is cut out of the tape, section by section and the design is first layed out in black and white.
...more to come soon --Cherie
